{verse #3}

So how are we doing? I have really loved having the accountability of knowing there are a few of you out there joining me on this quest! I know this will probably be the time when the newness of memroizing scripture will wear off, but don't give up!! God has already done amazing things in my life as a result of just these 2 scriptures. What has he shown you? I just love His faithfulness!!

So, here goes verse #3...

“And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.” 2 Corinthians 9:8 NIV

AMEN!!

Remember that you don't have to use this verse. If you feel like there is another verse that God is speaking to you right now, by all means use that one! Love you All!

{Easter 2009}

We started the Easter season with making a bunny house! Parker LOVES to do projects like this with mommy, but what I really think she likes is when we are finished and she can eat the house piece by piece.

Could this guy be any cuter??

Parker and mommy

Then we went to a few Easter egg hunts! Her is Parker with G.G. having a great time!

Parker with her best friend, Mabry. Aren't they precious!

{princess in training}

So, you all know how Parker really thinks she is a princess. The other day Zac asked her, "Parker, what do you want to be when you grow up?" Her response was of course, "a princess." So he replied, "What about a doctor for princesses?" And she said with the sassiest voice, "uh, no Daddy, just a princess." You have to love a girl who knows what she wants!
(She was even busted trying to dress up Hayes in one of her princess dresses!)

{soccer}

This spring we 'tried' to start the wonderful world of sports with our 3 year old daughter. For those of you who new this would be a bad idea and kept your mouth shut, shame on you! Needless to say, we had very little expectations. Parker has enjoyed ring around the rosies with her friends (the only girls on the team) Mabry & Maddy. She has also boycott a few games when Mabry was out of town. BUT she did kick the ball once. We are so proud!

{day at the zoo}

So here are a few of our latest activities in pictures...
Fun day at the zoo with our cousins and friends! Hayes loved the animals!

Parker on the other hand was miserable! Come to find out, she had pneumonia!Marta pushing parker who zonked out and Shar with Beks.

{verse #2}

I have really tried to memorize my verse and hope that I can continue to commit it to memory. BUT its time to start on another verse...already! This is where it is going to get tricky because there will be two verse floating around in my brain. Here is the verse I am going to memorize for the next 2 weeks...

"So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most." Hebrews 4:16 NLT

I really love the word 'boldly' in this verse because I need some BOLDNESS in my life. God doesn't want us to come to him with timidity or lack of passion. He is a gracious God! And who couldn't use a little mercy and grace in thier lives!! I know I could.

So there it is...if you want to pick your own verse or this one and join me on this journey, come on!! Or as my sister would say, "prove it"!

{some smart advice}

I have a friend who seems to have it all together. You know those people...they never seem stressed or get their feathers ruffled. They go through their moments, but always speak God's word and wisdom no matter what's facing them. I am sure someone has popped in your head. Well, I asked my friend recently how she stays so calm and always so positive and she said something so simple and so obvious, but it made a big impact on me! She has to do 3 things everyday:
1) She has to spend time with God
2) She exercises
3) She has to do something creative

Okay, so I have to admit that I am not creative and that is not what fuels me, but I am very anal and love to mark things off my list. So I have adjusted her list to "do something productive". I have to feel like I have accomplished something.

Like I said, they are so obvious and simple, but when I really stop at the end of the day and check my status on the 3 things there is usually one I am lacking on or missing and I feel it. I have loved this advice and thought i'd pass it on! So what is your advice to how you keep it all together?
