{Thanksgiving in NY}

We had a great time visiting Blake and Sarah in NY over thanksgiving!  They live in Corning which is the hometown of Corningware.  It's a charming little town with beautiful hills and trees all around.
It snowed on Thanksgiving which the kids loved!  It was really cold so we got all "bungled" up and went outside to have a snowball fight!

 Getting ready to eat Thanksgiving dinner at Blake and Sarah's.
 One of the most fun things we did was visit a tree farm and pick out and cut down a tree for Blake and Sarah.  The kids loved it and so did I! We will defienetly be doing this next year which I know Zac will love!
 Sister-in-law, Sarah and me.
 My favorite little guy, Hayes!
 The whole family
 After we picked the tree and cut it down, Blake and Hayes pulled it back to the car.
It was beautiful! Parker and GG decorating the tree.
 They also had a night time parade that was so much fun!
 I should have made this a Christmas card.  It makes me laugh everytime I see it.  Hayes looks thrilled to be posing.

Happy Holidays!!

{Weekly Project}

Here it is Tuesday and I am just now posting my weekly project! AND on top of that it is not even finished! Here is a sneak peek of the project i've been working on. It's taken longer than expected but I can't wait to finish it and see the final product!

It looks as though I've just thrown a sheet over the chair but I'm sewing a slipcover. Biggest sewing project I've ever undertaken. Hope it turns out as good in person as I'm envisioning it in my mind!

My sister joined me for the project. Here is a seek peek of her project in progress.

Have a great day!

{funny things kids say}

I love when kids get the words wrong and say something funny! As we were discussing P's day she said "It was so cold outside that I had to get all bungled up!" Zac and I were cracking up and kept trying to get her to say it again. Oh kids!

Project #4

I haven't fallen off the face of the planet! It's just been a busy week and a half! We traveled to NY for thanksgiving (pics to come) and I have been trying to climb out of the piles of laundry and "stuff" ever since!

The project I worked on this week was not difficult but I needed to get it accomplished to start on some of the other projects that have been waiting.

I'm sure you never feel this way, but life has just gotten a bit out of control! The little piles have become so overwhelming!

So today I got moving and cleaned like crazy! Now my house looks like this...

Even Hayes is happy!

What have you been up to lately??
