{Trick or Treating at the Kappa House}

We ventured on over to the Kappa House on Wednesday to trick or treat and have some fun with all the Kappa girls.   It was a great time and the kids loved every minute of it!

Parker is quite fond of the KKG house (which I am thrilled with) and she asks to go all the time.  She loved going from room to room and seeing all the girls in their costumes.

It doesn't look like much but oh my!!

It's been about 4 weeks since I started my "at home job" of taking care of the kids and house. I say it's a job because it keeps me busy!! I knew it would but I had such high hopes of completing my long list of home projects and I'm no closer to completing them than I was 4 weeks ago! As you can see I haven't really been keeping up with the house as much as I was before, which is crazy to me.

I am slowly learning the balance but hope to get more into a schedule in the weeks to come. I'll keep you posted!

It's been a while and I apologize! Things have been busy this week because I was preparing for a garage sale. Which involves opening every cabinet and closet in the house and pulling out everything I ever own to determine if I still need it. Kind of like a spring cleaning in Fall.

The sale was this weekend an although the weather wasn't the best and it rained the majority of the time it was a great sale!

The kids had a fun time playing in the rain and entertaining themselves!

Parker was riding in the car with me yesterday and said "Mom, remember last year when we made caramel apples and watched the movie Horseland?"

I was quite shocked because it was over a year ago and that is a movie we rented once. I said "how do you remember that?"

She said "I'm just having flashbacks!"

I don't know where she comes up with this stuff. Too funny!!

{Roller Skating}

We celebrated our sweet friends birthday party at Skateland on Friday. It's so strange to go to a place where I spent so many days as a child too!

It was Parker's second time to skate and Hayes's first! They both dis great!

Parker and her dear friend Mabry were hand in hand skating. Such sweet friends!

{jog-a-thon}

Parker had her first jog-a-thon this past week. It's an event that is put on by her school to raise money. She had 20 minutes to run as many laps as she could and she ran 10 laps around the track!

It was my first week off work so I was able to join her! I loved being able to run with her!

{Aviation Day}

It was the annual open house at the airport this weekend and we are always up for some free entertainment for the kids (and us too)!  Uncle Blake is in town and he and Papaw joined us for the adventure too!

What a fun way to spend a Saturday!  We sure wish Sarah was here too.  She would have made the day just perfect!

{Witches Brooms}

Ever since my dear friend dropped off a Fall Baking recipe book at my house my kids have been begging to bake ALL of the treats inside!  Our first attempt was a delicious success.  Not so sure how cute they are, but we ate them up!

Pumpkin Cake will be coming this week!  I just love baking in the Fall!  Shar, get ready!! :)

Hayes got a new builder costume and was thrilled that is Daddy had the same costume!

{Hayes...so silly}

Hayes came down and got in my bed this morning and then sat up and said he wanted to go upstairs and get his bear. I said ok. This is what he came back with...




I don't know how in the world he made it down the stairs with that thing. It's HUGE!

{nature}

Parker loves anything to do with nature or animals. I was tucking her in and looked around her room and this is what I saw...






This tub of leaves and dead flowers. I snuck it out so I could clean it out.







This gaterade bottle filled with dirt, a stick, a leaf and who know what other animals!

I can only imagine the small critters that live in her room!

{fishing}

Today the kids went fishing for the first time and loved every minute of it!

They both did great and caught several fish each!

Hayes caught a catfish! He was a little reluctant to touch it. Parker on the other hand was not afraid at all.


Mr Phil was in charge of removing the hook and releasing the fish. He's a trooper!
