{Presents}

My kids love presents! Aunt Sarah recently sent them a package in the mail and the kids were so excited to open it! She always sends the best gifts!

Hayes was very carful opening the package because Sarah warned them it was glass.

She got them each the cutest little glass figurines from a glass museum in NY.

Parker got a ladybug and Hayes got the mouse. They love them!! Thanks so much Sarah!! We miss you!

{Hammers}

Hayes has a hamster that he had fondly named Hammers. It was a gift from GG and Papaw. He's a new addition to our family but has quickly become a favorite of Hayes's. He sleeps with him every night and kisses him before bed. Just yesterday I walked in to this.

Hayes was giving Hammers a bath in the sink and brushing his fur nice and smooth. It is so sweet to watch!

{swimming}

We are so lucky to have BG and Grandad's pool to swim in during the summers! Tonight the kids were having fun making a mini pool out of a tub. Some how they both fit. Crazy kids!

{identity}

Over the past week, God has really been challenging me on my identity. I have been finding myself constantly doubting who I am based on what others around me are saying. These aren't the build you up kind of people, these aren't my family members or even my closest friends, but those people who are just in my life because they have to be. Those people who are hard to love and hard to be friends with . Catch my drift?

I am all for surrounding myself with Godly, life-giving people and I strive to be that way to everyone I come in contact with but it doesn't always work out that way. There are those people who just want to bring you down. They don't see the good in all people and all things and will let you know what they are thinking. Those are the people I have been listening to.

I had to ask myself recently, WHY and I putting so much stock in what they have to say about me? Why am I listening to what they have to say as opposed to listening to the promises from God and who HE says I am! He is my creator, redeemer, father and knows me better than anyone else.

I was reminded of a study I recently did on Abram and it said that "As Abram called himself by the promises of God, "he was strengthened in faith" and saw the promises come to pass." I pray I can use this time to become strengthened in faith and truly pray the promises of God over my life! "What we believe about ourselves will either bind us or launch us." I will not be bound my the lies of my enemies but want to focus on God and his plan for my life and see where he leads me!

{lake murray}

This past weekend we took a mini-vacation to Lake Murray with GG and Papaw. We love the lake! There is something so relaxing about being out there with nothing to do but relax. Parker was so excited to "go on vacation" and was counting down the days and hours until we were leaving!
It was great to get to spend time swimming with the kids! We had a blast!

GG was a trooper and swam all day with the kids! They loved it!

Hayes...our lil Yankee fan! They kids could eat anything they wanted because we were on vacation...and they did!

Parker and Hayes...best buddies!

I love this picture! Just shows a kid being a kid. Silly guy!

Papaw and Parker

We went on a scavenger hunt for firewood and built a fire for Smores. The kids loved it, but Papaw was a nervous wreck (which you can imagine, Blake and Sarah)!

Riding on the tube with GG!

We had the best time this weekend! We are blessed with the most amazing kids and have a blast with them! We feel so blessed to be able to spend time at the lake as a family!
