{Christmas Eve at the Gladhill's}

We have a wonderful tradition of spending Christmas Eve with Zac's side of the family.  It's such a fun night! We always enjoy a wonderful meal and fun times with the family.  This year was very special because Blake and Sarah flew in from NY.  Now that they live so far away we don't get to see them as much so we soak up every moment we have with them!
Our delicious Christmas dinner...Chicken Parmigiana!

Aunt Sarah and Uncle Blake. Aren't their matching sweaters so cute?

Sweet Hayes.

The best family photo we could capture.  This pretty much sums it all up!  This is our life.

GG and Papaw with Parker and Hayes

Parker's favorite gift, her horse.  She loves horses!

Hayes's favorite gift, his guitar so he can be just like Papaw.

Sarah and Parker in their matching headbands.

Their favorite gift together was this jumbo ball that you can roll around in.  They loved it!

The night ended with a serenade from Hayes.

{Christmas Candy Houses}

What's Christmas without making a Gingerbread House?  Well, we don't actually make them we just assemble but that's the fun part anyway!  The kids look forward to making them every year and for every season for that matter!

We were so excited that Aunt Sarah was there to help us!! Especially me.

Parker's House is always a major labor of love.

Precious Hayes always wants to give kisses!

Hello 2011!!

I can't believe it's been 3 weeks since my last post!  I am a total slacker but promise to step it up in 2011!  We had an absolutely amazing Christmas and New Year and I am excited to share some memories, but first I have to get my pictures organized!  I'm excited for all that the new things that the new year are going to bring but to look back I want to post my favorite moments of 2010!

1) Parker and Daddy went to their first Daddy/Daughter Dance
Feb 2010

She has not stopped talking about this! One of her best memories ever!  She has counted down the days until she could go again.

2) Weekend Getaway to Ft Worth with some of our best friends!

We had the best time taking the train down and enjoying fun times with no kids!  We loves these people!

3) Hayes Quillen turned 2!

What can I say about this little man except that he is the joy of my life and the most time consuming and exhausting kid in the world.  I wouldn't trade him for anything!

4) My sisters and I ran in the OKC Half Marathon together!
April 2010

I love to run so it was fun to share it with all my sisters.  Tracy, Savannah, Me, and Marta.

5) MEXICO!  We went on an amazing trip with some of our oldest and dearest friends!

May 2010
This was a trip to remember!  I dream almost daily of returning.  Ahhhh.

6) Parker was in her first ever dance recital!
What can I say but precious!! I can't wait for the many more recitals we can enjoy!

7) We spent many nights and days at the lake with our friends!

8) Parker started Pre-K at Truman Elementary
She loves school!!

9) Hayes started School at OU!!
 He loves school too and has made many new friends! His best friend is a precious girl named Fiona.

10) Marta and I competed in the Route 66 Marathon in Tulsa!
It was an amazing experience! I will continue to run until my poor old knees give out!

11) My Precious, Parker Addison turned 5!
I can't believe she's 5! How is this going so fast! I love every moment I get to spend with her and am so blessed that God gave her to me!

Looking forward to an even more blessed 2011!!

{Thanksgiving in NY}

We had a great time visiting Blake and Sarah in NY over thanksgiving!  They live in Corning which is the hometown of Corningware.  It's a charming little town with beautiful hills and trees all around.
It snowed on Thanksgiving which the kids loved!  It was really cold so we got all "bungled" up and went outside to have a snowball fight!

 Getting ready to eat Thanksgiving dinner at Blake and Sarah's.
 One of the most fun things we did was visit a tree farm and pick out and cut down a tree for Blake and Sarah.  The kids loved it and so did I! We will defienetly be doing this next year which I know Zac will love!
 Sister-in-law, Sarah and me.
 My favorite little guy, Hayes!
 The whole family
 After we picked the tree and cut it down, Blake and Hayes pulled it back to the car.
It was beautiful! Parker and GG decorating the tree.
 They also had a night time parade that was so much fun!
 I should have made this a Christmas card.  It makes me laugh everytime I see it.  Hayes looks thrilled to be posing.

Happy Holidays!!

{Weekly Project}

Here it is Tuesday and I am just now posting my weekly project! AND on top of that it is not even finished! Here is a sneak peek of the project i've been working on. It's taken longer than expected but I can't wait to finish it and see the final product!

It looks as though I've just thrown a sheet over the chair but I'm sewing a slipcover. Biggest sewing project I've ever undertaken. Hope it turns out as good in person as I'm envisioning it in my mind!

My sister joined me for the project. Here is a seek peek of her project in progress.

Have a great day!

{funny things kids say}

I love when kids get the words wrong and say something funny! As we were discussing P's day she said "It was so cold outside that I had to get all bungled up!" Zac and I were cracking up and kept trying to get her to say it again. Oh kids!

Project #4

I haven't fallen off the face of the planet! It's just been a busy week and a half! We traveled to NY for thanksgiving (pics to come) and I have been trying to climb out of the piles of laundry and "stuff" ever since!

The project I worked on this week was not difficult but I needed to get it accomplished to start on some of the other projects that have been waiting.

I'm sure you never feel this way, but life has just gotten a bit out of control! The little piles have become so overwhelming!

My house looked like this

So today I got moving and cleaned like crazy! Now my house looks like this...

Even Hayes is happy!

What have you been up to lately??
