{love our walks}

We love our evening walks! The kids love to be outside and want to go on walks every night! Tonight Hayes wanted to ride in the wagon but decided he wanted to pull it. That kid about wore himself out pulling that wagon all the way home!

{looooooongest stairs ever}

Heading into the Atlanta americasmart building from the MARTA you have to go up one of the longest escalators I've seen in my life. Unfortunately it was not working and I had to walk the stairs! Check this out...

{away for a few}

The next 5 days I will be spending my time here...

Top of building 2 on the 18th floor at Atlanta market. I'm sorry I won't be able to post because they are working me to the bone. Well, that and I am exhausted by the time I get out of here. I'll be back next week. Don't miss me too much!

{submission}

This past Sunday we heard a sermon on submission that has really spoke to me in so many ways. I have never heard it put in such a way and for the first time the light bulb went on and something clicked inside me. I am still processing but I wanted to share a few points. (I was going to try and put a link for you to hear it yourself, but it's not uploaded yet)

"3Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes. 4Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight. 5For this is the way the holy women of the past who put their hope in God used to make themselves beautiful. They were submissive to their own husbands, 6like Sarah, who obeyed Abraham and called him her master. You are her daughters if you do what is right and do not give way to fear." 1 Peter 3:3-6

What Submission is: The divine calling of a wife to HONOR and AFFIRM her husbands LEADERSHIP and help carry it through accourning to HER gifts. A HEART to follow and an inclinations to yield to his leadership.

What Submission says: I delight when you take INITIATIVE for our family. I am happy when you take RESPONSIBILITY for things and LEAD in love. I can not FLOURISH when you are PASSIVE and I have to make the family WORK by myself.

I have been repeating these statement and reading them over and over again. I hope to continue to process and grow in my submission to Zac. I know it is only possible when I fully eliminate all anxiousness and worry in my life. I hope to be "clothed with strength and diginity; [and] can laugh at the days to come." Prov. 31:25

{Hayes the worker}

Hayes is one of the hardest working kids I know! Anytime he sees Daddy and Mommy working he jumps right in to help.

Cleaning up the floor after he made a mess.

Then I took away the 409 and I caught him using his OJ to clean up. Good intentions but not the best choice.

I love Hayes's heart and his servant attitude.

{friends}

I loved seeing Hayes and Jae playing together today. They are so sweet to each other (most of the time) and play really well together! Here they are holding hand. I'm sure there will be a point that this will be so uncool but for now it's really sweet!

Jae and Hayes (2 months apart and destined to be best friends forever!)

{haircuts}

I had it with my kids hair so we went to the mall and they both got haircuts. Really I was just intending to cut Hayes' hair but Parker has been begging to get her hair cut for a long time so she got hers cut too.

Cute lil summer bob (it's what she wanted. And the girl knows what she wants.)

Nice pic on the iPhone, but you get the picture. Much needed summer cut for the boy who can sweat thinking about going outside.

Fun Friday night out with the Gladhills!
