{Chatterbox}

Hayes has been blowing us away by all of his talking! We were praying for a long time that he would begin talking and now in the past few weeks he has not stopped!

Tonight we were working a puzzle and he pointed and said "something missing". I was so proud! Love that kid!

{Market}

Dallas World Trade Center

I just returned from 6 days at Dallas Market. 6 days! I missed my kids tremendously while I was gone and couldn't sleep without Zac next to me!

When I returned home tonight Parker said "I just can't stop hugging you!" and Hayes just insisted I sit with him on the couch and snuggle under the "cobers"! I just live those kids...absence definitely makes the heart grow fonder!

{Riding Bikes}

This has become one of our kids favorite things to do! Hayes has even learned to ride a bike at 2 years and 4 months old! I am sure this is completely normal, but we still think he is SUPER coordinated and great a everything he does. Hey, that's what we are supposed to do...we are his parents afterall! Please disregard the fact that he is riding a pink Barbie bike. His bike will be coming very soon, but who says you can't be tough on a hot pink Barbie bike?

{Parker Addison}

A little update on Parker, our beautiful, spunky, 4 year old daughter, who brings so much joy and light to our family!

This past year she was in Broadway Babies and loved every minute of it! She loves to dress up and dance so it was a great class!

She loves her Daddy! This is them attending the Daddy/Daughter Dance which she still talks about on a weekly basis!

She's also really competitive and wants to be the best at everything she does.
(Not sure where she gets that.)

She's kind, compassionate and loves her friends.

A little bossy at times, but definitely a girl that knows what she wants!

We love everything about this girl and so blessed to have her in our lives! She makes us laugh and smile every day! We know God has big plans for her life and glad that we were chosen as her parents!

I'm Back!!

Hello long lost blog,
Oh how I have neglected thee! I'm sorry I've been away so long but don't worry...I'm back! It's been a crazy, hectic year for The Gladhill's but instead of catch you up on ALL that has happened in the past 12 months I will just say A LOT has changed. Kids are growing up, I'm definitely older and maybe a little wiser (or crazier, not sure which quite yet), and we are having the time of our lives. Sure things are nuts with 2 small kids but we wouldn't trade this time in our lives for anything in the world.

So, I pledge to get better at sending updates, pictures, encouraging thoughts, and little bits of randomness for all to enjoy, but mostly for our favorite Aunt Sarah and Uncle Blake who we miss so much and hope this will bring a little bit of our home into their new home!

Enjoy!

{conversation with parker #2}

We went to eat lunch today at a mexican restaurant and of course at the end of the meal Parker wanted a sopapilla. Hayes was ready to go and we were too so we tried to convice her to eat cookies and ice cream at home with Daddy. She of course wanted to sopapilla so she quickly ate it and we were out the door. Here was our conversation on the way home:

Parker: (in a very excited voice) "So lets go home and our ice cream and cookies"

Daddy: "You already had your dessert, a sopapilla"

Parker: "I want ice cream and cookies too."

Mommy: "Parker, you had a choice and you chose to eat the sopapilla so you can't have the ice cream too."

Parker: (ponders this) "Well...I change my mind, I want the ice cream and cookies."

We were laughing so hard at her seriousness and honesty!

{conversation with parker}

So today we are driving down the road and I looked at my phone to check a message. Here is our conversation...

parker - "mommy, when I was born were you doing that?"

mommy - "Doing what parker?"

parker - "playing with your phone"

mommy - "no, why?"

parker - "because you are always doing that"

OUCH! Guess I was busted!
